About the 75th St. CIP

Funding

The total cost to complete the 75th St. CIP was estimated as more than $1 billion as of 2021. To date the CREATE partners have secured $474 million for the project, including a U.S. Department of Transportation award of $132 million from the Infrastructure for Rebuilding America (INFRA) grant program. This, combined with contributions from the CREATE partners, has funded final design for the entire project and construction of Forest Hill Flyover (P3) and 71st Street Grade Separation (GS19).

Forest Hill Flyover (P3) and 71st Street Grade Separation (GS19) are funded through Phase II and Phase III. Funding for Phase III of Rock Island Connection (P2) and Belt Junction and 80th Street Junction Replacements (EW2) has not been secured. Environmental commitments, viaduct improvements and other community mobility improvements associated with Projects P2 and EW2 are not funded for implementation. The CREATE partners continue to seek funding to complete the 75th St. CIP.
