About the 75th St. CIP

Timeline

  • The CREATE partners completed a combined Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and Record of Decision (ROD) for the 75th St. CIP in 2014.
  • Funding has been secured for the 75th St. CIP final design and partial construction.
  • Design of the Forest Hill Flyover (P3) and 71st St. Grade Separation (GS19) projects began in 2019 and was completed in 2022.
  • Design of viaduct and community mobility improvements associated with the 75th St. CIP began in 2019.
  • Temporary construction related to the Forest Hill Flyover (P3) began in 2020.
  • Design of the Rock Island Connection (P2) and Belt Junction and 80th St. Junction Replacements (EW2) projects began in 2020 and is anticipated to be completed in 2025.
  • Construction of the Forest Hill Flyover (P3) and 71st St. Grade Separation (GS19) began in October 2022 and is planned to conclude by the end of 2025.
  • In 2022, in association with the Forest Hill Flyover (P3) and 71st St. Grade Separation (GS19) projects, construction was completed for ninety-one community mobility improvement projects. In conjunction with these efforts, four viaducts are being designed and constructed.
  • The schedule for construction of the Rock Island Connection (P2) and Belt Junction and 80th Street Junction Replacements (EW2) will be determined once funding is secured.
  • Public involvement is occurring throughout the design and construction process.
